Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales Announces Reelection for Indiana Secretary of State

May 1, 2025 | Featured, Press Release

Diego ran on the key principles of election integrity, promoting a business friendly environment, and accountability.

Diego was humbled by the support and trust placed in him by Republican delegates at the Indiana Republican State Convention and is excited to once again earn their support.

After being overwhelmingly elected in the 2022 November election, Diego went right to work.

With election integrity being his top priority, under Diego’s leadership Indiana expanded the states voter ID law to include mail-in voting, increased data available for voter list maintenance, enhanced proof of residency requirements, oversaw the implication of paper audit trails in all 92 counties, increased the ability to conduct post election audits, fought back against federal overreach in Indiana elections. Finally, as a naturalized citizen, Diego led the way for being able to request proof of citizenship to register to vote.

That is why, under Diego’s leadership, Indiana is now a top 10 state for election integrity.

Diego is taking the Business Services Division to new heights. While keeping Indiana at the top of the rankings as one of the best states to start a business, the division has launched an initiative to help businesses succeed once they are here. The “In My Community” program will highlight Indiana’s entrepreneurs and local businesses.

Diego has been focused on holding bad actors accountable.

In the auto dealer industry, Diego has been committed to stopping deceptive practices. He is standing up for Hoosier consumers and ensuring that the businesses operating in Indiana are doing so ethically and responsibly. That is why Diego introduced new training requirements for businesses in the auto industry, ensuring that Indiana auto dealers are held to the highest standards.

Diego has led the fight against BlackRock and their use of Hoosier dollars to push a woke agenda. Under Diego’s leadership, the office sent a cease and desist to BlackRock, and he has vowed to continue the fight to protect Indiana from outside political influences.

“This journey started when I first announced my candidacy for Indiana Secretary of State in 2020. Because of the trust that Hoosier voters placed in me, we have been able to accomplish so much in such a short time,” said Secretary of State Diego Morales. “But this work is not done. There is still so much more to do. That is why I am running for reelection as Indiana Secretary of State.”

Diego begins his reelection with almost $1 million cash on hand.
